Mrs. Doris Elizabeth Maner Shaw, age 70, of 1050 W. Hwy. 78, Villa Rica passed away Saturday, April 11, 2007. Mrs. Shaw was born in Haralson County on December 6, 1936. She was the daughter of the late John Elmer Maner and the late Athey Rush Maner. Mrs. Shaw was retired from the State of Georgia. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Dean Shaw. Survivors include one step-daughter, Deana Raye Malone of Temple; two step-sons, Terry Dean Shaw of Temple and Bobby Gene Shaw of Temple; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Virlie Sylvia and Walthan Nickels of Kingsport, TN, Margaret Elmer Maner of Villa Rica, Janis Virginia and James Nix of Lagrange, and Sonja Elaine Parr of Lithia Springs; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, John William Maner of Biloxi, MS, Millard Jackson and Glenda Maner of Stockbridge, GA and Ray Marshall and Debbie Maner of Carrollton; two step grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Buddy Gentry officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the Piney Woods Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jeffery Maner, Seth Parr, Bart Parr, Shaun Childers and Gabe Garner. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
