Ms. Donnie Jean Partain Dukes, age 78, of Bremen passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014.  Ms. Dukes was born in Thomaston, Georgia on December 29, 1935.  She was the daughter of the late Lee Jefferson Partain and the late Manie Ever Corley Partain.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Smith and Ruth Smith; and two brothers, Norman Partain and Lavan Partain.

Survivors include her sons, Frank Dukes of Portland, Oregon, Johnny Dukes, Robert Dukes, Marcus Dukes and James Dukes all of Augusta and Eric Dukes of California; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Jennie Vanwinkle of Bremen, Betty and Hiram Baughcum of Griffin, Silvia Green of Thomaston and Agnes McChargue of Griffin; one brother, Charles Partain of Thomaston; and a number of grandchildren and other relatives.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Barry Jones officiating.

The family will receive friends on the day of the service at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M.
