Donna Jean Dial, age 64 of Buchanan, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 17, 2024, at her residence. Born in Douglasville, Georgia, on May 30, 1960, she was the daughter of Elizabeth Ann Gore Dial and the late Rev. William Ray Dial. In addition to her father, Donna is preceded in death by two sisters, Cindy Dial and Melinda Dial.
Donna lived most of her life in Temple and was a member of the Temple High School Class of 1978. Being an avid Elvis fan, she worked for several years as a manager to Elvis impersonators. Donna also enjoyed singing Karaoke whenever possible. However, her passion was her family and she dearly loved her children and grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memories are her sons and daughters-in-law, Brandon & Sara George of Buchanan, Brent George of Rockmart, and Bryan & Tavie George of Duluth; her daughter, Samantha Leggett of Rockmart; and her mother, Elizabeth Dial of Temple. Also surviving are her precious grandchildren: Jacob, Bree, Cameron, Kaitlyn, Bryson, Ryleigh, Ethan, and Olivia; her great-grandchild, Leo, and one on the way; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl & Doug Braswell of Roanoke, AL, and Lisa & Vance Hardegree of Carrollton; the father of her children, Samuel P. George; and other extended family and friends.
In keeping with Donna's wishes, she will be cremated. The family is planning a celebration of her life for a later date.
