Mr. Donald "Donnie" Allen Wood, age 74, of Carrollton passed away Friday, March 29, 2013. Mr. Wood was born in Cedartown on May 20, 1938. He was the son of the late Luther Wood and the late Lucile Weaver Wood. Mr. Wood was the retired owner of Wood Pallet Company, Inc. He also was employed by Southwire Company in Sales as the Regional Sales Representative for Louisiana and Mississippi, and was a National Sales Representative for the Utility and Welding Products Division.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Rita Wood of Lansing, NC, Anthony Wood and Peggy Windham of Wetumpka, AL and Kevin and Syletia Wood of Carrollton; fiance'', Linda Lewis; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Ann Wood and Benny and Diana Wood all of Rome; two sisters-in-law, Frances Wood and June Wood both of Cedartown; four grandchildren, Katlynne Wood, Dylan Wood, Brenton Wood and Brianna Nave; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was predeceased in death by two brothers, Ollin Wood and Rudy Wood; and one sister, Myra Wood-Rentz.

Memorial services will be conducted Sunday, March 31, 2013 at 6:00 P.M. with Rev. Hubert Shedd, Michael Turner, Anthony Wood and Kevin Wood officiating. Music will be rendered by Sonjia Smith.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 4:00 P.M.
until 6:00 P.M.
