Mr. Dirk Arnold Oldroyd, age 55, of Dunnellon, Florida passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014.  Mr. Oldroyd was born in Richfield, Utah on December 18, 1958.  He was the son of the late Van Carol Oldroyd and the late Alcie Maureen Brannon Oldroyd.  Mr. Oldroyd lived in Buchanan for many years and attended school in Haralson County.  He was a machinist tool and dye maker.

Survivors include two sisters, Carolyn Thomas and Mary Leasure; niece and nephews, DeAnn Johnston, Tyler Johnston, Steven Carothers, Jason Gray, Harley Carothers, Bobby Leasure and Seth Leasure; great nieces and great nephews, Destiny Gray, Taylor Gray, Cameron Johnston, Ava Johnston, Stven Carothers, III, Jacob Gray, Justin Gray, Dustin Gray and Braiden Carothers; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be conducted Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at Brannon-Perryman Cemetery with Rev. Richard Brannon and Danny Hutcheson officiating.  Interment will follow in Brannon-Perryman Cemetery.

Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
