Diane Bagley Spivey

Diane Elizabeth Spivey, age 61 of Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Born in Bremen, Georgia, on January 9, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Billy Mack Bagley, Sr. and the late Sarah House Bagley. In addition to her parents, Diane is preceded in death by the love of her life, Douglas Somerson, and her daughter, Jessica Somerson.

A beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, Diane left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.  She found joy in the simple pleasures, from tackling her favorite puzzle books to attending wrestling shows that kept her engaged and entertained. Time spent with family was precious to her, and she particularly cherished the moments devoted to caring for her grandchildren. A skilled crocheter, Diane found comfort and fulfillment in crafting beautiful pieces that she lovingly shared with those around her.  Additionally, she had a special fondness for visiting casinos, where she enjoyed the excitement of games and laughter with friends and family. Her beautiful spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memories are her children and spouses, Frankie  & Tweety Mayhood of Villa Rica, Jennifer & Trish Breon of Carrollton, Jamie & Emily Somerson, and Jordan & Ashley Somerson; her sister Latrell Swetnam of Temple; and her brother Billy & Jamie Bagley of Temple.  Also surviving are her precious grandchildren: A.J., Gracie, Kyngstyn, Zane, Hallie, Ian, Josiah, Caitlyn, Jessica, and Angelina; her nieces and nephews: John, Josh, Mandy, Billy, Natalie, Olivia, Sean, Nevaeh, Eden, Kairi, Alayna, Jada, and Jensen; and a number of extended family members and friends. 

Funeral services for Diane Spivey will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Pastor Scott Cabe officiating and eulogies by Frankie, A.J. and Josh.  Her body will be laid to rest at Piney Woods Cemetery with the following serving as active pallbearers: A.J. Black, Josh Smith, Sean Cain, Bibby Bagley, Mark House, and Peanut Black; and honorary pallbearers: Gracie Black, John Smith, Brayden House, Steven Gallant, and Lamar Phillips.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
