Deborah Ann Schwibert Walker passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026. Born on July 18, 1949, in Miami, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Harry Edward Schwibert and the late Shirley Schwibert Wilkinson. In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Ronald Brenner Walker, and by her sisters and their spouses, Ellen & Ralph Cox and Maryjo & Jimmy Beach.
Deborah devoted many years to her career with the United States Postal Service, proudly serving as a letter carrier in Atlanta’s Virginia Highlands area. Deborah was an Atlanta Braves fan and found joy in seeing them play, as well as watching Turner Classic Movies, COPS, and listening to a wide range of music from soulful oldies to Andrea Bocelli. Deborah will be forever remembered for her quick wit, independent spirit and fierce loyalty to all those fortunate to know her.
Deborah, affectionately known as Do, leaves behind a loving family: her devoted children—R. Jason Walker and his wife Tina of Buchanan, R. Justin Walker and his wife Jodi of Bremen, and Leslie Ann Walker of Powder Springs. She is also survived by her precious grandchildren, Taylor and Evan Jackson, Hunter and Rylei Spurlock, Haleigh Spurlock, Preslie Walker, Noah Walker, and AJ Walker, along with great-grandson Walker Bennett Jackson. She also leaves a circle of nieces who remember her fondly.
Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is honored to serve the cremation needs of the Walker family.
