Mrs. Davida Birchfield Hitchcock, age 49 of Tallapoosa, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. She was born on June 6, 1970 in Ft. Stewart, GA to the late Larry Sarell Birchfield and the late Patricia Lee Birchfield. Davida was a registered nurse and had an overwhelming love for others. She loved to talk and share memories, and enjoyed spending time with her family. The joy of her life was being able to be such a big part of her grandson John Luke's life. She was looking forward to her grandbaby that is due to come on her birthday.

Survivors include her husband Michael W. Hitchcock of Tallapoosa, Ga; two daughters and son-in-law, Marissa and Brandon Shadinger and Jordan Hitchcock; two sons and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Amelia Hitchcock and David Hitchcock; two sisters, Melissa DeHaven and Kerri Hassell; four brothers, Larry Birchfield, John " Buck" Birchfield, Joshua Birchfield and Paul Rogers; grandchildren, John Luke Hitchcock and Adelaide Shadinger and several other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2020 at 1:00 PM from Forrest Lawn Memorial Garden with Brother Phil Murphy officiating.
