Mrs. Darlene Goldin Tallent, age 60, of 7389 Hwy. 16, Waco passed away Monday, November 17, 2008. Mrs. Tallent was born in Haralson County on May 24, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Guy Goldin and the late Viola Cash Goldin. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Madden; and one brother, Doyle Goldin. Survivors include her husband, Eugene Thomas Tallent of Waco; two step-sons and one step daughter-in-law, Tom and Sherry Tallent of Lawrenceville and Robbie Tallent of Loganville; one sister, Patsy Ploof of Buchanan; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Otis Dudley Goldin of Tallapoosa, Bobby Goldin of Decatur and Charles and Linda Goldin of Decatur; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Randy Rooks and Rev. Clyde McDonald officiating. Music will be rendered by Kathy Bennaway. Interment will follow in the Poseyville United Methodist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Gene Madden, Dwayne Madden, Donald Ploof, Randy Ploof, Matthew Waldrop, Codi Thompson, Junior Goldin and James Mercer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
