Mr. Daniel Rodger Coalson, age 62, of 24 Hart Rd., Tallapoosa passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Mr. Coalson was born in Haralson County on August 22, 1946. He was the son of the late Ollie Coalson and the late Maudie Hammond Coalson. Mr. Coalson was a self-employed auto body repairman. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Wilma Carter. Survivors include his wife, Martha Cash Coalson of Tallapoosa; one son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Vickie Coalson of Tallapoosa; three sisters, Ilna Enslie of Douglasville, Essie Jane Ponder of Cedartown and Agnes Harwell of McDonough; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Ben and Linda Coalson of Lithia Springs and W.C. Coalson of Tallapoosa; two grandchildren, Baylee Coalson of Tallapoosa and Brent Coalson of Talsapoosa; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. from West View Baptist Church with Rev. Alton Stamey and Rev. Jason Hatchett officiating. Interment will follow in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbeaerers: Barney Coalson, James Wilson, Richard Cheatwood, Allen Bowman, Chad New and Rodney Burgess. Honorary pallbearers will be: Ben Coalson, W.C. Coalson and Freddie Mixon. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
