Dale Allen Lant, age 71 of Ranger, GA, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024, in a tragic house fire.  Born in Endicott, New York, on January 22, 1953, to the late Harry Lant and the late Harriett Tompkins Lant.  In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by two sisters, Beverly Monk and JoAnn Kenyon-Foster.

Dale grew up in Tioga County, New York, and worked for many years at EE Root in Owego.  Loving the life of a truck driver, he worked for many years for Silk Road Transport in Arkport NY. Then drove for BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) in San Francisco, CA.  After retirement, Dale moved to Ranger, GA, to be near his family.  He was a patriotic American who loved the United States.  Taking care of his fur-baby cats was his passion.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Tiffeny and William Robinson of Ranger; his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Jessica Northrup of Virginia; and his two grandchildren.  Also surviving are his sister, Betty Doolittle and Jackie Jewett; his brother, Paul (Sandy) Lant; and several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

In accordance with Dale's wishes, he will be cremated.

Cremation services are entrusted to Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
