Cynthia Lanette Rowell, age 53 of Buchanan, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024, in a local hospital.  She was born in Rockmart, Georgia, on June 18, 1971.  Her parents were the late Donnie Harper and the late Wanda Harrell Harper.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ian Harper and Joey Lane, and by a grandchild, Ryleigh.

Cynthia was always in charge, whether that was taking care of her family or cooking for a large group.  She enjoyed fishing, cooking and working.  Her grandchildren were the light of her life; yet to others, Cynthia was their light in the darkness.  She was the one to call when you needed advice or help, and she would drop what she was doing to help you.  Laughter was her medicine and Cynthia loved to have fun.  Her fun, sweet and nurturing personality will be dearly missed by all who loved.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Joe Rowell of Buchanan; her daughters, Breannie & Brad Shinall, of Buchanan, Shea & Nathan Worthy of Bremen, and Chaunda Mullins of Tallapoosa; her sons, Donnie J. & Kailey Coffman of Buchanan and Joey Mullins of Tallapoosa; and her brothers, Jon & Alecia Harper of Bremen, and Timothy Lane of Buchanan. Also surviving are her precious grandchildren: Farrah, Alexis, Kayson, Dawson, Brookleigh, Paizlee, Everleigh, Lakelynn, Kalee, Braily, Zaden, Zylee, and Zorie; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Cynthia Rowell will be conducted on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 1:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Joey Meeks, Brother Nathan Worthy, and Zaden Worthy speaking.  Interment will follow in the Hills Creek Baptist Church in Rockmart.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.
