Obituary

Mr. Curtis Huell Cheatwood, age 77, of 394 Estavanko Rd., Bremen passed away Thursday, January 4, 2007. Mr. Cheatwood was born in Cleburne County, Alabama on December 5, 1929. He was the son of the late Samuel Cheatwood and the late Frances Charles Cheatwood. Mr. Cheatwood was a veteran of the United States Army and was a retired security guard. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Smith Folsom Cheatwood; three brothers, Everett Cheatwood, Marvin Cheatwood and Irvin Cheatwood; and step-daughter, Susie Folsom Kennington. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann Wettengel of Corona, CA; one step-daughter, Judy Parrish of Bremen; four step-sons, Hershel Folsom of Bremen, Buddy Folsom of Bremen, Charles Folsom of Bremen and Ricky Folsom of Bremen; daughter-in-law, Eloise Folsom Mulkey of Bremen; two sisters, Evelyn Hart of Beaumont, TX and Elizabeth Daniel of Tallapoosa; seventeen grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Pat Patterson officiating. Bag Pipe music will be rendered by Bob Miller. Interment will follow in the Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery in Tallapoosa with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: James Dollar, Randy Mulkey, Roy Cheatwood, Ricky L. Folsom, Joseph Folsom and Chad Folsom. Graveside military honors will be provided by the Haralson County Veterans Association. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
