Mr. Cranford Rehurse Williams, age 76, of 763 High Point Rd., Buchanan passed away Friday, November 28, 2008. Mr. Williams was born in Haralson County on November 6, 1932. He was the son of the late John Thomas Williams and the late Lillie Frances Bell Bishop Williams. Mr. Williams was a veteran of the United States Army. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Luna Kirkland Williams; two sisters, Sara Frances Williams and Chrisie Ann Bollen; and two brothers, Douglas Pressley and Horace Williams. Survivors include two daughters, Nellie Gordon of Buchanan and Sherry Jean Jeffers of Buchanan; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 1, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from Mount Zion West Baptist Church, Tallapoosa with Rev. Bennie Westmoreland officiating. Music will be rendered by Melody Driver. Interment will follow in the Mount Zion West Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Tall McAnly, Jason Smith, Michael Gatlin, Benji Miller, Chris Crocker, Issac Taylor and Eddie Browning.
