Mr. Cohen James Cash, age 76, of Tallapoosa passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014.  Mr. Cash was born in Haralson County on March 17, 1937.  He was the son of the late Clarence Cash and the late Verlie Agan Cash.  Mr. Cash was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was retired from the Carpenter's Union.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Randy Cash; and two brothers, Wesley Cash and Chalmus Cash.

Survivors include one daughter, Vicki Carter of Tallapoosa; three sisters, Robbie Sue Turner and Mary Wood both of Bremen and Anita Head of Houston, TX; three grandchildren, Joshua Kyle Holdbrooks, Justin Paul Holdbrooks and Jacob Cody Holdbrooks; two great grandchildren, Canaan Asher Holdbrooks and Hudson Parker Holdbrooks; and a number of other relatives.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.  In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, his remains will be cremated following the visitation.

Private memorial services will be conducted at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to a memorial fund for his great grandchildren.
