Mr. Clyde Ashmore, age 80, of Tallapoosa passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011. Mr. Ashmore was the son of the late Ralph Ashmore and the late Lillian Morgan Ashmore. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a retired U.S. Postal Letter Carrier. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Earleen Thornton Ashmore; one sister, Beverly A. Sutton; and one brother, Ralph Ashmore, Jr.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Dawn Ashmore of Waco; one grandchild, Victoria; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside memorial services will be conducted Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 4:00 P.M. from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Haralson County Veterans Association.
