Cloyce Lamar "C.L." Brown, age 87 of Buchanan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at his residence.  Born on April 4, 1936, in Bristol, Florida, he was the son of the late Harold James Brown and the late Ellie Dee Strickland Parrish. In addition to his parents, C.L. is preceded in death by a son, Harold Brown, and sisters Nancy Roberson and Bess Ballew.

C.L. was retired from the Amoco Fibers where he was a lab technician. He enjoyed the country life and spent many hours fishing and woodworking. C.L. was a devoted member of the West Georgia Apostolic Tabernacle n Winston.

Left to cherish his memories are his companion, Charlotte Brown, Buchanan; his children, Christy & Wayne Green, Libby & Mike Stewart, Ricky & Kathy Brown, and Buddy & Sandra Brown, all of Bristol, FL, Steve Brown, Phoenix, AZ, Dennis & Shaie Brown, Lakeland, GA, Dean & Dana Brown, Lakeland, GA, Pam & Bruce Kirkland, Buchanan, and Terry & Shannon Edenfield, Grand Ridge, FL.  Also surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Jean & Lamar Wilkes, Ormand Beach, FL; his brothers and sister-in-law, James "Bill" Brown and Donnie & Anita Parrish, all of Bristol, FL; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as other family.

In accordance with Mr. Brown's wishes, he will be cremated.

The family will host a celebration of C.L. Brown's life on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Mt. Zion East Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Bailey officiating.
