Mr. Clifford Howard Woody, Sr., age 85, of Dallas passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013.  Mr. Woody was born in Buchanan on September 6, 1927.  He was the son of the late John Henry Woody and the late Julie Mae Tanner Woody.  Mr. Woody was a retired carpenter.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Constance Brinkley Woody; two sisters, Shirley Arp and Ruby Whitaker; and three brothers, Robert Woody, Hoyt Woody and J.W. Woody.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Judy Woody of Lineville, AL; one daughter, Darlene Smith of Tallapoosa; two sisters, Louise Boyd of Georgia and Eloise Alexander of Villa Rica; three brothers, Bobby Joe Woody of Buchanan, Larry Woody of Buchanan and Herman Woody of Villa Rica; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Sam Shipp officiating.  Music will be rendered by Nancy Williams.  Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Hiram.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
