Mr. Clifford Edwin Kilgore, age 78, of 60 Overbrook Dr., Temple passed away Friday, November 6, 2009. Mr. Kilgore was born in Cleburne County, Alabama on June 9, 1931. He was the son of the late George Kilgore and the late Cora Laminack Kilgore. Mr. Kilgore was a retired construction worker. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Bernice Kilgore and Mildred Cleveland; and three brothers, J.C. Kilgore, Harvey Kilgore and Newell Kilgore. Survivors include his wife, Hellen Holcombe Kilgore of Temple; one step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Melanie Marie and George Bonds of Temple; four step-daughters and three step-sons-in-law, Eddie Wayne Herrell of Marietta, Tommy Eugene and Connie Griffith Kilgore of Temple, James Edwin and Joy Herrell of Bremen and Tony Augustus and Kristie Kilgore of Temple; two sisters, Geneva Malone of Temple and Imogene Arrington of Carrollton; one brother, Harold Kilgore of Bremen; eight grandchildren, T.J. Herrell, Danny Simpson, Savannah Herrell, Holden Herrell, Bo Manus Laranda Manus, Cheyenne Wilbanks and Riley Wilbanks; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Edward Holcombe officiating. Interment will follow in Piney Woods Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Holden Herrell, Danny Simpson, Jamie Harrell, Joseph Houston, Zack Hicks and Bob Norris. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Holcombe. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
