Obituary

Claude Wayne Cole, lovingly known as Wayne, age 80 passed away on January 8, 2024 at his home in Tallapoosa, GA. He was born on October 3, 1943, in Muscadine, AL. Wayne's vibrant personality was defined by his jovial nature and love for people. He was a natural jokester who cherished the company of others and always sought to create joy and laughter wherever he went. His kind heart and playful spirit was admired by all who had the privilege of knowing him. One of Wayne's greatest joys in life was spending time with his family and friends. Each one of them held a special place in his heart, and he affectionately bestowed nicknames to them all. The bond he shared with his family was immeasurable. They often embarked on memorable trips to Fernandina Beach, where they reveled in the beauty of nature and forged lifelong memories together. Wayne also cherished cookouts and outings to the lake, relishing in the simple pleasures of good food and quality time with loved ones. Beyond his family, Wayne had a habit for helping others and enjoyed being around people. His selfless nature led him to volunteer his time and money whenever possible. Additionally, he found solace in riding motorcycles, a passion that brought him both excitement and serenity. Animals held a special place in Wayne's heart; dogs and horses particularly captivated him with their loyalty and grace. Wayne held many jobs but for the majority of his professional career he was self-employed and established several businesses throughout his life. Wayne's proudest accomplishments centered around his beloved children and family. He instilled strong values within them while nurturing an environment filled with love and warmth.

Survivors include his children: Paige Cox and her husband Keith, Tina Cole, Claude Cole, Cody Cole and his wife Amber, Colton Cole, Caylin Cole, and Cohan Cole. He will also be fondly remembered by his sister, Judy (Allen) Chandler, brother, Sammy (Jean) Cole. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
