Christy Meherg

Christy Annette Roddy Meherg, age 56 of Villa Rica, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.  Born in East Point, Georgia, on August 23, 1969, she was the daughter of Nancy Arnold Roddy and the late Don Roddy.  Christy was a devoted wife, mother, and daughter.

A strong woman, Christy loved her family fiercely and enjoyed taking care of them and her beloved dogs.  An avid beach lover, she cherished the time spent on family vacations at the beach. Christy's light shone bright when she attended church and participated in Bible Studies at West Georgia Worship Center.  Her loving personality and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 34 years, Tim Meherg of Villa Rica; and her precious children, Timothy Tyler Meherg of Villa Rica, Christopher Blake Meherg of Abany, Joshua Lee Meherg of Villa Rica, and Mary Bell Meherg of Villa Rica. Also surviving are her mother, Nancy Roddy of Villa Rica; her sisters, Donna Roddy Sams of Carrollton and Kelly Broome of St. Cloud, Florida; as well as extended family and many friends.

Funeral services for Christy Meherg will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at West Georgia Worship Center with Pastor Ricky Shirley officiating.  Music will be under the direction of the WGWC Praise Team.  Following the services, Christy will be cremated.

The family will receive friends on Saturday at West Georgia Worship Center from Noon until 2:00 PM.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with the family expenses.  You may call with card information or send a check.
