Christopher Reese Rowan, age 21 of  Tallapoosa, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from injuries sustained in an auto accident.  Born in Villa Rica, Georgia, on July 13, 2001, he was the son of Nellie Shaw and the late Phynice Rowan.  Christopher worked in the lumber mill and in his leisure time enjoyed fishing and playing video games.

Survivors include his children, Tristen Rowan and Gracie Rowan of Dallas; his mother and step-father, Nellie Shaw and John Goolsby of Tallapoosa; his significant other, Jessie Bragg; his brothers, Andrew Rowan of Tallapoosa and Austin Rowan of Graham, Alabama; his sisters, Shaelyn Rowan, Dakota Rowan, Macy Rowan, Miley Rowan all of Waco, and Kari Goolsby of Tallapoosa.  Also surviving are his grandparents, Suzanne Cohran of Villa Rica and Genevieve Whittington of Tallapoosa.

Funeral service for Christopher Rowan will be conducted Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 2:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel.  The family will receive friends from Noon until the funeral hour.
