Mrs. Christine Deborah Rowell Kirk, age 90, of 718 Mormon Church Rd., Buchanan passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010. Mrs. Kirk was born in Haralson County on June 3, 1919. She was the daughter of the late John Dudley Rowell and the late Harriett McClung Rowell. Mrs. Kirk was a homemaker. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ollie Ruth Moore and Emily Howington. Survivors include her husband of over seventy five years, Blanton Kirk of Buchanan; one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Johnny Scott of Marietta; one son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Lillie Kirk of Buchanan; one sister, Ester Myrick of Stone Mountain; one brother, Donald Rowell of Rockmart; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 11, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Richard Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jeff Kirk, Mark Scott, Bobby Heath and Ryan Healy. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:0 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
