Charles E. Wright, age 87 of Carrollton, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in a local hospital.  Born on September 11, 1936, in Fort Mill, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Mike Wright and the late Eva Walden Wright.  Charles proudly served in the United States Navy for 22 years.

His survivors include his wife, Doris Wright of Carrollton; his son and daughter-in-law, Dwaine & Tammy Wright of Douglasville; his daughter, Charlene Wright Grady of Summerville, South Carolina; and a number of other relatives and friends.

According to Mr. Wright's wishes, he will be cremated.  The family is planning a memorial celebration at a later date.
