Charles Weaver

Charles Roger Weaver, age 84 of Buchanan, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 17, 2026.  Born in Haralson County on November 10, 1941, he was the son of the late Milford Weaver and the late Irene Everidge Walker.  In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his grandson, Levi Weaver, his sisters, Vickie and Brenda, and his brothers Benny and Carl.

Growing up in the country, Charles enjoyed being outdoors.  He always had a beautiful garden and spent many hours on his riding lawn mower.  For most of his life he was a mechanic at a factory, but he also was skilled at working on cars.  He and his family enjoyed vacationing and his favorite spot was the mountains.  A man of faith, Charles was a long-time Deacon at Fellowship Baptist Church and loved leading the singing during worship.  His love of life and dedication to his faith and family will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife of 66 years, Nancy Cook Weaver; his daughter and son-in-law, Eileen & Stephen Fordham of Buchanan; his son, Bobby Weaver of Buchanan; and his precious grandchildren: Kristopher Wilkins, Keith Wilkins, and Kristopher Weaver.  Also surviving are his brothers: Danny Weaver, Gary Weaver, Mike Weaver, Franklin Weaver, Robin Walker, Jimmy Walker, and Danny Walker.

Funeral services for Charles Weaver will be conducted Monday, July 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church with Reverend Gerald McPherson, Reverend Harold Turner, and Reverend Jimmy Tibbits officiating.  Charles will be laid to rest in the Fellowship Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 19th, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel.  The family will also receive friends on Monday at the church from Noon until the funeral hour.
