Charles Dennis Smith, age 67 of Buchanan, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022. He was born on December 13, 1954, in Atlanta to the late Charles Cicero Smith, Jr. and the late Lucille Irene Alford Smith. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Danny Smith, and one sister, Sharon Dunn.

Survivors include his wife Pamela Darlene Huckaby Smith of Buchanan; two sons, Charles Shane Smith (Nikkey) of Atlanta and Michael Steven Smith (Karen Dieterle) of Tucker; step-son, Alexander Lee; three sisters, Martha Murdock of McDonough, Donna Ware (Jack) of Morrow and Beverly Dial of Conley; grandson, Kristopher Herbst; step-grandson, Waylon Lee; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In keeping with the family's wishes he will be cremated.

The family will host a memorial service on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 1:00 PM  at New Vision Church of God 3888 Highway 27 Buchanan, GA 30113,  with Pastor Tim Landmon officiating.

Cremation services are entrusted to Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
