Mr. Charles Wayne Shipman, age 75, of Tallapoosa passed away Monday, July 11, 2016.  Mr. Shipman was born in Rome, Georgia on December 28, 1940.  He was the son of the late Charlie F. Shipman and the late Ruth Brown Shipman.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Charles Wayne Shipman, Jr and one sister Paulette S. McCullough.

Survivors include three daughters, Susan and her husband Bill Dunlap of Oneida, TN, Bonita and her husband Mark Shipman-English of Brevard, NC and Kanissa and her husband Mike Martin of Menlo, GA; two step-sons, Daryl Wiley of Tallapoosa and Kevin and his wife Mona of Springdale, AR; one sister, Brenda Ridley; one aunt, Mamie Dougherty of Cloudland; five grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. from Mount Olive Church Cemetery, GA Hwy. 157, Cloudland, GA.  Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery.

Flowers may be delivered directly to the cemetery
