Charles Ronald Robinson

Charles Ronald Robinson, affectionately known as Ronnie, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026. Born on August 12, 1956, in Cedartown, Georgia, he was the son of the late Buford Robinson and the late Annie Lou Robinson. In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Robinson. Ronnie lived a life full of purpose and service, touching the lives of many through his work and family.

Ronnie devoted many years to his career as a long-haul truck driver. Later, he embraced his spiritual calling and served as a preacher for eleven years, offering guidance, hope, and compassion to his community. For several years he was the pastor at Faith Baptist Church in Temple. Ronnie loved to be outdoors—whether tending his garden, cutting wood, working on his yard, fishing, or tinkering with various projects. He leaves behind a legacy marked by dedication, a strong faith, and a love for his family and the outdoors.

He is lovingly survived by his wife of 53 years, Judy Dewberry Robinson; their two sons, Jamie Robinson and Joey Robinson, all of Temple; his grandchildren— Little Joey Robinson and his wife Shelby, Shiloh Haney and her husband AJ, and great-grandchild Gracelynn.  Also surviving are his sister Charlotte Robinson of Blue Ridge, and his brothers Harold and Joyce Robinson of Bremen, along with Wayne Robinson of Tallapoosa.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Ronnie’s life will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel in Buchanan with Reverend Travis Prichard and Reverend Jeff Byrd officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Faith Baptist Church Cemetery in Temple with Phillip Wilson presiding. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Little Joey Robinson, AJ Haney, Phillip Wilson, Ronald Fortner, Eric Fortner, and Jaret Houston.

The family will receive friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
