Mr. Charles Thomas House, Sr., age 75, of Bremen passed away Monday, December 26, 2011. Mr. House was born in Haralson County on May 23, 1936. He was the son of the late Willie Bernard House, Sr. and the late Laura Elizabeth Owens House. Mr. House was a veteran of the United States Army and was a retired painter. He was a long-time member and officer of VFW Post 7402 in Buchanan joining in 1958. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill House, James House and Robert House.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Irene Frey House of Bremen; four sons and daughters-in-law, Charles T. and Susan House, Sr. of Mesa, AZ, William J. and Patti House of Holland, OH, Raymond T. and Christine House of Merritt Island, FL and James R. and Mary Jo House of Elberton; one sister, Sara Nell Bagley of Temple; six brothers and five sisters-in-law, Henry and Mary House of Bremen, Bob House of Rockmart, Bernard and Helen House of Villa Rica, Raymond and Marsha House of Brunswick, Howard and Kathy House of Bremen and Earnest and Shelby House of Temple; nineteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Danny Hutcheson officiating. Interment will follow in Edwards Cemetery in Buchanan with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Chaz House, J.J. House, Matthew House, Richard House, Mark House, and Frankie Mayhood. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kerri Paterson, Shannon Bailey, Katie House, Lori House, Heather House and Adrian House.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening and Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
