Mr. Charles Jackie "Jack" Ezell, age 70, of 21 Forest Heights Rd., Buchanan passed away Friday, July 27, 2007. Mr. Ezell was born in Calhoun County, Alabama on May 1, 1937. He was the son of the late Lonnie Ezell and the late Lela May Akin. Mr. Ezell was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a retired carpenter. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Lois Allen, Ora Sharp and Grace Bailey; three brothers, Sam Ezell, Harry Ezell and Gene Ezell; two step-brothers, Gary Hughes and Butch Hughes.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue Sanders Ezell of Buchanan; three daughters, Rhonda Ezell Conover of Buchanan, Dondra Sims of Buchanan and Renee Leighton of Los Angeles, CA; three sisters, Margie Burgess of Seal Beach, CA, Alta Mae Willett of Seal Beach, CA and Rita Brown of Rockmart; one brother, Gordon Ezell of Buchanan; one step-brother, Leon Hughes of Buchanan; step-mother, Juanita Ezell of Buchanan; three grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 29, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Calvin Brown officiating. Music will be rendered by Rita Brown. Graveside services will full military honors will be conducted Monday, July 30, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. from the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
