Mr. Charles Edward Eaves, age 82 of Buchanan, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 2, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born February 5, 1939, to the late Lowell and Ruth Sanders Eaves.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Paul Eaves.  Charles was a Buchanan High graduate, served in the U.S. Army, and retired from General Motors in the 90's.  He loved his family dearly, and he was an avid salt water and fresh water fisherman.

He is survived by his children: Holly Eaves and Brian Ware of Heflin; Paige and Trent Roberts of Fruithurst; and Charles .E. "Chip" and Heather Eaves of  Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Raven Rochester, Hudson Roberts, Noell Workman, Shelton and Katherine Kersey; and five great grandchildren: Braxlei, Bowen, Bristol, Easton, Journey, Zachary, Savannah, S.J., Elizabeth, and Victoria,

Funeral services for Charles Eaves will be conducted Thursday, May 6, 2021, at 2:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Richard Brannon officiating.  Interment will follow in the Buchanan City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from noon until the funeral hour.
