Charles Lawson Brooks, age 87, of Waco, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. He was born on July 4, 1933 in Felton to the late William Yates Brooks and the late Lillian Lois Freeman Brooks. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Annette Bates Brooks; one son, Lee Brooks; one daughter, Debra Brooks; two brothers, Barry Brooks and Bob Brooks.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Mark Steffey of Waco; one sister, Carolyn Carsley; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Cathy Brooks and Billy and Genelle Brooks; four grandchildren, Cody Donaldson, Ashley Brooks, Elisabeth Steffey and Savannah Steffey; one great grandchild, Harper Vargas; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In keeping with Charles's wishes he will be cremated.
