Mrs. Catharine Brannon Masi, age 86, of Crystal River, Florida and Buchanan passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011. Mrs. Masi was born in Haralson County on March 19, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Murdock Brannon and the late Oda Belle McClure Brannon. Mrs. Brannon was a retired dental technician. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Rocco Masi; one son, Ronald Alan Masi; five sisters, Elizabeth Bowling, Myrtie Cheatwood, Gladys Esposito, Janelle Summerville and Alice Seccuro; three brothers, O.V. Brannon, Al Brannon and Franklin Brannon. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Sherry and Steven Castellano of Sewell, NJ and Debra Ann Pezzuti of Spring Hill, FL; one son, Anthony Ray Masi of Crystal River, FL; two sisters, Joyce Dobbs of Buchanan and Fran Harrison of Buchanan; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. from the Graveside at Brannon-Perryman Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be: David Summerville, Richard Brannon, Quinn Masi, Eddie Bowman, Steven Castellano and Anthony Masi. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
