Mrs. Carolyn Marie White Holcombe, age 74, of Tallapoosa passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017.  Mrs. Holcombe was born in Tallapoosa, Georgia, on February 16, 1943.  She was the daughter of the late John Henry White, Jr. and the late Virginia Lyle White.  Mrs. Holcombe had previously worked as a seamstress at Hubbard Slacks.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Holcombe; three brothers, Bobby White, Paul White and Randy White; one grandson, Doug Webb.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Renee and Jeffery Bowen, and Elaine and Paul Geer; two sons, Joel Webb (Mary Green) and Dwayne Holcombe; one sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Buddy Gentry; seven grandchildren, Brittany Bowen, Lindsey Bowen, Brandon Bowen, Autumn Holcombe, Jaide Bell, Mark Webb and Jody Webb; six great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. from Baptist Tabernacle Church with Rev. Buddy Gentry officiating.  Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry.  Interment will follow in Baptist Tabernacle Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Bradley Bowen, Shane Myers, David Dutton, John Yearty, David McCalpin and Mark Webb.

The family will receive friends at Baptist Tabernacle Church Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.
