Carl Max Stothart, age 78 of Temple, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. He was born on May 22, 1947, to the late H. Rex Stothart and the late Louise Rigdon Stothart. After graduating, Carl played drums with a variety of rock and country bands including backing Donna Fargo. His association with music continued when he became the bus driver for the Oak Ridge Boys and the general manager for Sawyer Brown. After moving to Georgia to be with Donna, he worked in the engineering department of Flowers Bakery in Villa Rica.
Survivors include his wife Donna Windom Stothart of Temple; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven (Kristyn) Stothart, James Robert Stothart and William (Sonya) Stothart; brother and sister-in-law, H. Gray (Elizabeth) Stothart; 5 grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.
In keeping with Carl's wishes he will be cremated.
The family will host a memorial service at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Carrollton, GA, on July 11, 2024, at 11:30 AM.
Cremation services are entrusted to Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
