Mr. Butch McLarty, age 67, of Temple passed away Friday, September 14, 2012. Mr. McLarty was born in Douglasville on March 15, 1945. He was the son of the late Harry McLarty and the late Mary Warren McLarty.

Survivors include five daughters and two sons-in-law, Terri Thompson of Ranburne, AL, Tina and Micky Summerville of Temple, Tarina and Neal Shelnutt of Temple, Genii Dover of Douglasville and Margaret Ebberman of Acworth; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael McLarty of Griffin and Thomas and Andrea McLarty of Temple; twenty one grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, September 17, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Associate Pastor Neal Shelnutt officiating. Music will be rendered by Micky Summerville, Jr., Macy Summerville and Veronda Shoemaker. Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jamie Fowler, Clint Shoemaker, Van McLarty, Jeff Driver, Wesley Dover and Micky Summerville, Jr.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
