Mr. Burnell "Preacher" Cash, age 79, of 1475 Ben Davis Rd., Buchanan passed away Monday, November 24, 2008. Mr. Cash was born in Haralson County on January 11, 1929. He was the son of the late William L. Cash and the late Nettie Mae Rush Cash. Mr. Cash was a veteran of the United States Navy and was retired from Sewell Manufacturing Company. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Bailey Cash; one daughter, Patty Cash; four sisters, Shirley Hutcheson, Jewell Johnson, Jennie McCollum and Murnell Milldebrooks; and one brother, Jerry Cash.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and David Marchocas of Chicopee, MA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Linda Cash of Athens and Mickey and Kathy Cash of Buchanan; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Smokey and Barbara Cash of Anniston, AL and Larry and Linda Cash of Buchanan; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, November 29, 2008 from the Graveside at the Union Hill Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Wendell Rush officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Hill Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery.
