Bunyan Mack Brown

Bunyan Mack Brown, age 73 of Bremen, passed away on May 9, 2026. Born on October 27, 1952, in Carrollton, he was the son of Christine Wright and the late Johnny Mack Brown. In addition to his father, Mack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Debra Ann Folsom Brown.

An avid outdoorsman, Mack found joy in the tranquil pursuits of fishing and hunting. His fishing expeditions included traveling to Canada with his friends looking for that perfect catch. His love for nature was matched by his passion for music, especially classic rock and country. Known as a simple man, he will be remembered not only for his skill and work as a licensed plumber but for the quiet, steadfast kindness he showed throughout his life. Bunyan Mack Brown’s presence will be deeply missed, yet his spirit endures in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. 

He is survived by his loving daughters, Allison and Scott Laney of Carrollton, and Stephanie and Eric Tolbert of Bremen. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Kale Laney, Haley Harrison, Colton Tolbert, Nathan Tolbert, and Ariah Tolbert. Mack also leaves behind his devoted mother, Christine Wright and his siblings Deloris and Jeff Earhart, Cathy, Lisa, and Eddie and Cindy Wright, all of whom shared a special bond with him throughout his life.

Funeral services to honor Mack's life will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel. He will be laid to rest next to his wife at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Bremen.

His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 15th, from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
