Mr. Buddy Edward Gilliam, age 72, of Macedonia Cir., Buchanan died Friday, October 17, 2008 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton following an extended illness. Mr. Gilliam was born on May 6, 2008 in Rockmart, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Albie Gilliam and Julia Weaver Gilliam ; brothers, Earl Gilliam, Harold Gilliam and Lindy Gilliam; sister, Edna Bussey. He was retired from Jockey Men''s Wear as a shipping clerk and was a member of End of Time Warriors Church in Buchanan.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Camp Gilliam of Bremen; daughters and sons in law, Mona and Lynn Smith of Buchanan, Wendy and Ricky Bradshaw of Cedartown, Marla and Tim Coffey of Rockmart, and Dena and Duane Duncan of Cedartown; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Melissa Gilliam of Buchanan; brother, Jerry Gilliam of Alabama; sisters, Jackie Watts and Freddie Chandler both of Cedartown, Jean Sloman of Rockmart; fifteen grandchildren; and five great grandchildren, with a host of other relatives surviving.

Graveside service will be conducted Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. from Bethlehem Baptist Church with Mr. Danny Hutcheson officiating.
