Brenda Gail Shoemaker

Brenda Gail Fennell Shoemaker, age 74 of Buchanan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Paulding County on March 7, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Louis Stith Fennell and the late Martha Jane Holden Fennell.  In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her sister, Reba Huffstetler, and her brothers Melvin and Maverick Fennell.

A loving and caring lady, Brenda would help anyone she could in any way she could.  Whether someone needed food, clothes or money, she was always willing to help.  For many years, Brenda worked as a fabricator for New Image Canopy, formerly Shady Vent Construction, in Cedartown.  She and her husband of almost 58 years, Randall, raised a loving family of 2 daughters and 3 sons.

Left to cherish her memories are her beloved husband, James Randall Shoemaker; her daughters: Tina Renea Shoemaker (Cassel, Jr) Adams and Randy Lynn Shoemaker Aldridge; and her sons: Johnny Randell (Tabatha) Shoemaker, Joshua Stith (Maya) Shoemaker, and James Israel Shoemaker. Also surviving are her precious grandchildren: Brittany Adams, Brandon Adams, Trevor Adams, Chase Adams, Katherine Adams, Jagger Adams, Craig Aldridge, Jr, Elizabeth Aldridge, Gunner Aldridge, Cody Shoemaker, Heather Owen, Katie Hulsey, Leslie Wilson, Johnathan Shoemaker, Ashley Hart, and Isaac Shoemaker; her great-grandchildren: October, EmaRay, Isabella, Ivan, Rhyanna, Houston, Emberleigh, Tatum, Johnny, Matthew, Paxton, Morris, Parker, Josie, Bellamy, Aviva, Nova, Nathan, and Lucus; as well as other extended family and friends.

In keeping with Brenda's wishes, she will be cremated.
