Mr. Boyd Johnny Hurst., age 71, of Carrollton went to be with the lord Monday, November 4, 2013.  Mr. Hurst was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on September 8, 1942.  He was the son of the late Samuel James Hurst and Ruby Eva Jordan Hurst.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son; Sammy Hurst, one sister, Brenda Kaye Evans; three brothers, Jerry Hurst, Bud Hurst and Ben Hurst.

Survivors include his daughter  Eva Hurst; one grandson, Travis Dunbar; one granddaughter, Lashanda Schofield; one great-grandchild Journee Schofield; special friend Gail Cochran; one sister Sandy Hurst Hafield;  five brothers; Bob Hurst, Bill Hurst, Sonny Hurst, Ricky Hurst and David Hurst and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11:30 A.M. at Jackson Cemetery, 157 Lone Mountain Boat Dock Lane. Tazwell, Tennessee, 37879.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Jackson Cemetery in Tazwell, Tennessee.
