IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bonnie Jewelene
(Kent) Bryant
December 7, 1944 – June 6, 2025
Bonnie Bryant was born on December 7, 1944, in Asheville, North Carolina, to Cora Mae Davis and Zeb Abner Kent. While living in Indianapolis, Indiana, Bonnie worked at a laundromat, where she met the love of her life, Miles Nelson Bryant, a talented banjo musician. The two were married for 38 wonderful years, sharing a life full of love and travel. Throughout their marriage, they lived in several states, including Florida and North Carolina, before settling in Bremen, Georgia, where Bonnie made her home for the last 24 years.
After Miles passed away in 2012, Bonnie remained in Bremen, surrounded by cherished friends and neighbors. She especially loved watching the birds at her feeder and found great amusement in chasing away pesky squirrels with a water gun. She truly appreciated the simple joys in life and shared her warmth and humor with everyone around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers: Tom Kent of Cincinnati, Ohio; Robert Kent of St. Petersburg, Florida; and Ronnie Kent of Clearwater, Florida. She is survived by her brothers, Larry Kent of Candler, North Carolina, and Kenneth Kent of Whittier, North Carolina; three sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Hutcheson Memorial Chapel in Buchanan, Georgia, with Pastor Eddie Denson officiating. A graveside service will take place at a later date in the Bryant Family Cemetery in Glencairn, Kentucky.
