Mr. Bobby Dean Worthy, age 80, of Tallapoosa passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015.  Mr. Worthy was born in Tallapoosa, Georgia on September 25, 1934.  He was the son of the late A.D. Worthy and the late Katura Wilson Worthy.  Mr. Worthy was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a retired heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, Brenda and Eddie Butler, Perry Wade, Lorraine Wade, Michael Wade, George Wade, Terry Wade, Ann Wade, Debbie Wade and Patricia Wade; great nephews, Craig Butler, Kenneth Butler and Kerry Butler; special friends, Amber and Justin Smith; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Homer Wysner and Rev. Buddy Gentry officiating.Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry.  Interment will follow in Buchanan City Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Craig Butler, Justin Smith, George Wade, Michael Wade, Terry Wade and Edgar Worthy.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
