Mr. Bobby Mack Whitmore, age 66, of Tallapoosa passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Mr. Whitmore was born in Carrollton on April 23, 1945. He was the son of the late James Lewis Whitmore, Sr. and the late Liza Thrower Whitmore. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Dottie Ann Whitmore and one brother, David "Buck" Whitmore.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Morris Whitmore of Tallapoosa; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Wesley White of Tallapoosa; one son and daughter-in-law, Mack and Anita Whitmore of Tallapoosa; one sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Buddy Cash of Carrollton; one sister-in-law, Joyce Whitmore of Tallapoosa; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wayne Webb and Rev. Buddy Gentry officiating. Music will be rendered by Brian Vaughn. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery in Tallapoosa with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Cramer Cash, Scott Folds, Ryan Carroll, Mark Carroll, David "Bebo" Folds and Kyle Hilton.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening and Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
