Bobby J. Wade, age 76 of Waco, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.  Born on January 14, 1949, in Buchanan, Georgia, he was the son of the late Eugene Wade and the late Clara Sanders Wade.  In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his son Jason Wade, his sister, Gail Bowling, and his brother Billy Wade.

Bobby was a hard working man who was employed for many years by the Haralson County Maintenance Department.  In retirement, he continued to find things to work on and was known as a "tinkerer."  He enjoyed collecting knives and was amazingly skilled at making bow ties out of dollar bills.  Bobby's passion was his family.  Spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and baking his special tea cakes with them were his most precious memories.  He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Glenda Wade of Waco; his children: Andrea & Derek Williams, Jessica & James Franklin, Brian & Tracey Wade, Jason Hamrick, Kale Hamrick, and Janet & Corey Bolden; his brothers, Jimmy Wade and Johnny Wade; and his daughter-in-law, Angel Wade.  Also surviving are his precious grandchildren: Tristen Wade, Dillin Howell, Cody Lee Wade, Carlee Smith, Cayla Bailey, Dalton Williams, Jadyn Williams, Jaycee Kohler, Gage Robinson, Tracy Robinson,  Billie Robinson, Jacob Patterson-Bala, Jada Meadows, and Courtney Robinson; and numerous loved great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Bobby Wade will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel.  The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from Noon until the funeral hour.

A private family interment will be held at a later date at Bethel Baptist Church where Bobby was a member.
