Mr. Bobby Richard Houston, age 67, of Temple passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016.  Mr. Houston was born in Carroll County, Georgia on August 9, 1948.  He was the son of the late Reuben Jack Houston and the late Jo Ann Leatherwood Houston.  Mr. Houston was a retired automobile mechanic.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Tanner and Becky Cline; and five brothers, David Houston, Kenneth Houston, Steve Houston, Billy Houston and Jimmy Houston.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Louise Carroll Houston of Temple; one daughter, Angie McElroy of Bremen; one son, Robby Houston of Bremen; eight sisters, Betty Duke of Rockmart, Janice and her husband Bo Adams of Cedartown, Martha and her husband David Coleman of Cedartown, Patricia and her husband David Atkins of Lindale, Peggy McCall of Buchanan, Pamela and her husband Larry Dunn of Cedartown, Susie and her husband Charlie McElroy and Linda and her husband Tony Carter both of Bremen; three brothers, Jeff and his wife Linda Houston of Temple, Johnny and his wife Marie Houston of Bremen and Jerry and his wife Louise of Ephesus; one grandchild, Tyler McElroy; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Toby Powers officiating.  Interment will follow in Piney Woods Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Corey Dunn, Joseph Houston, Blake Gregg, Seth Dunn, Adam Carter, Tyler McElroy,Jonathan Bishop and Ray Houston.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
