Mr. Bobby Gene Hammitt, age 82, of Fruithurst, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019. He was born on January 7, 1937 in Chatooga County, Georgia to the late Andrew Hammitt and the late Martha Dukes Hammitt Hendrix.

Survivors include his wife Pam Hammitt of Heflin, AL; daughter, Bobbie Hammitt Pope of Dallas; three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry (Debbie) Hammitt of Cedartown, Frankie Hammitt of Dallas and Andrew (Regan) Hammitt of Fruithurst; ten grandchildren, Samantha, James, John, Jake, Garrett, Madison, Ashley, Lance, Mark and Charlie; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Prater of Buchanan and Ann Gilreath of Bremen and several other relatives and friends.

In keeping with Mr. Hammitts wishes he was cremated.
