Mr. Bobby Charles Carroll, age 66, of 3449 Poplar Springs Rd., Buchanan passed away Sunday, December 21, 2008. Mr. Carroll was born in Haralson County on November 10, 1942. He was the son of the late Willard Lee Carroll and the late Ethel Inez Worthy Carroll. Mr. Carroll was a veteran of the United States Army and was a retired fork lift operator. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Shirley McClung; and two brothers, Harold Carroll and Hugh Carroll. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Watkins Carroll of Buchanan; one daughter and son-in-law, Jodi and Rick Bolton of Buchanan; one son, Jayson Carroll of Buchanan; one adopted daughter, Judy Cheatwood of Buchanan; one sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Al Jones of Buchanan; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Howard and Betty Carroll of Buchanan and Leon Carroll of Buchanan; three grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin McAdams and Sherman Driver officiating. The Haralson County Veteran''s Association will provide military honors. The body was cremated. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
