Ms. Billie Nadine Tucker Surrett, age 62, of Tallapoosa passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Mrs. Surrett was born in Polk County on August 3, 1948. She was the daughter of William Manuel Tucker and the late Helen Nancy Odom. Ms. Surrett was a retired seamstress. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Deborah Tucker of Tallapoosa; one sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Johnny Coker of Rockmart; father, William Manuel Tucker; one step-daughter, Stacy Owen; one step-son, Doug Owen; ex-husband, Dewey Owen; two nieces, Jennifer Bentley and Yvonne Myrick; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charles Smith and Rev. Thomas J. Collins officiating. Music will be rendered by Brenda Smith, Steve Jones and Lawrence and Crystal Collins. The body was cremated. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
