Mr. Billie "Bill" Jackson, age 73, of 5806 Jacksonville Rd., Buchanan passed away Friday, August 20, 2010. Mr. Jackson was born in Haralson County on October 1, 1936. He was the son of the late David Jackson and the late Eula Mae Barkley Jackson Adams. Mr. Jackson was a plumber. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Zettie Cash Jackson; and one sister, Betty Dewberry.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and John Wright of Muscadine, AL; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Walter Jackson of Buchanan and David and Christina Jackson of Woodstock; two sisters, Willie Mae Whitton of Bremen and Bobbie Mosley of Bremen; one brother and sister-in-law, Buck and Carrie Jackson of Bremen; four grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 22, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Buddy Gentry and Rev. Wendell Rush officiating. Music will be rendered by Tangle Rush, the Vines Brothers and Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the Buchanan City Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Danny Dewberry, David Dewberry, Larry Jackson, Jason Cash, Joe Cash, Johnny Deering, Dave Wade and Chris Robinson. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Wayne Whitton.
The family will receive friends at funeral home Saturday evening from 4:00 P.M.
until 9:00 P.M.
